I read an interesting AP article in the May 28 edition of the Patriot News. It stated that Pitt's library has acquired "North America's larges collection of European Union and European Community public documents and publications," and that "the library system plans to digitize a large portion of the collection and upload it to the Internet as part of the school's Archive of European Integration, an online archive and repository." The article states that the collection will take up about 3,500 feet of shelf space, and includes microfilm and microfiche.
I found this article at an ironic time, as I just finished reading Double Fold!

Well, week two is underway, and I've finally finished reading Kuhn and wrote my review. Hopefully it's acceptable. Although I was totally confused while reading this book, after I wrote my review I was suprised to see how much I actually got out of it. Needless to say, I'm glad it's behind me...on with the next batch of books!
Connotea, del.icio.us and Zotero are still mysteries to me. I'm meeting with a recent FastTrack grad, who is going to help me shed some light on these. Fingers crossed!
On a personal note, my son's little league team continues to lose and head coach Sean (aka Dad) is taking it very personally. My daughter is finished with preschool for the year and is now constantly underfoot, tormenting the dog and writing with markers on the furniture, aarrgghh!! The laundry and dishes are piling up and everything seems to have taken a backseat to my studies. I'm hoping I can fine tune my time management skills and get everything done. I don't know how you people with full time jobs are doing this! Good luck to all! Until next time...

I made it through Week 1, and I feel better at the end of the week than I did at the beginning. I'm still confused about a few things, primarily Connotea, del.icio.us and Zotero, Hopefully, there will be more instruction in the days to come. I'm still struggling through Kuhn, but I'm trying to incorporate the word paradigm into daily conversation to impress my family and friends.
